Two ways to Save at Walmart

  1. Coupons
    • Internet/paper coupons accepted.
    • Competitor coupons accepted as long as it specifies a price.   For example, the coupon must say “Buy at $1.99.”  If its a B1G1 free, the item that you are paying for must include the price.  For example, “Buy one at $5.99, get one free.”
    • Competitor catalinas:  They only take the ones that state that its a manufacturer coupon. For example, if you get a catalina from Dillons that states $3/1 Tide and its a manufacturer coupon, Walmart will accept it.
    • Cash back:  Walmart’s policy is that they do give cash back as long as the coupon allows it and you are not using SNAP benefits.  However, some Walmarts vary in whether they honor this policy.  You can call corporate if you run into this problem.
  2. Price match (for more details go here.)
    • You do not need the ad in hand.
    • Ads they will match:
      • Buy one, get one free ads with a specified price.   Example: Buy one for $2.49, get one free (BOGO)
      • Competitors’ ads that feature a specific item for a specified price.
      • Preferred shopping card prices for specific items that are in a printed ad.
      • For fresh produce and meat items when the price is offered in the same unit type (lb. for lb.; each for each)
    • The ad must be a from local competitor.
    • The product purchased at Walmart must match the one advertised in the competitors ad(size, quantity, brand, flavor, color, etc.)
